Agates - General Description

In reality there are just too many varieties of agates to list, there are a gazillion of them. Agates come in numerous colors ranging from transparent to opaque, black, brown, gray, reds, green, pick, blue and yellows. Agates may be found in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Congo, Italy, India, Nepal and Germany.

In general agates are said to be a powerful emotional healer and believed to discern truth. It's said to have calming influence, improve perception, concentration, memory, encourage honesty, and to protect you from bad dreams and danger.

Agates are also known to be protective, attract strength and protect against stress. Everyone could use an agate.
Agates are the oldest stones in recorded history.
